Barely another living and working area has undergone such significant changes in the last decades as the office. Desk, office chair, and telephone are still present, other small aids remained as well – paper clip, pencil, and even ring binders. But the entirety of the historical office work such as composing a text, scheduling, copying, archiving, accounting, or forwarding was integrated by the computer. Today the actual scene is under discussion, the stationary office, once indispensable prerequisite for the organization and the administrative accomplishment of the flow of goods and thoughts. The exhibition shows various office worlds of yesterday, today and tomorrow and presents the appropriate stories of their regalia. It engages in the structural change from the industrial to the service and information society.
