In 1957 the enterprise Danese in Milan starts the production of equally aesthetic and practical objects for office and home. Its aim is to create perfect objects that correspond to the wants of society. What starts as an ambitious project of the two avantgardistic personalities Bruno Danese and Jacqueline Vodoz soon develops into a brand name. Between 1957 and 1991, in close cooperation with a small circle of designers/artists, objects emerge which rank amongst the icons of Italian design. Besides these mass productions for the daily use the wide range of products also includes art editions, handicraft and play items for children. They all share simplicity, the experiment with material and function as well as economy of resources.
